When I first started my yoga journey, I had a distaste towards meditation. As I hyper active person I couldn’t see the benefit of stillness - rather sitting in meditation was a torture. It was a moment where all my thoughts were coming to get me, infinite to-do’s, unprocessed emotions and annoyance across my body. It took year to cultivate a daily meditation practice and see the real benefits of silence or guided meditations. As a strong creative, I started enjoying the power of visualisation through meditation and slowly my distaste became an intriguing journey.
Meditation practices is something I share in all my classes. We close our yoga classes in unity through guided meditations to support our physical with a mental practice.
